Abstract

The research article “The Simile Method for the Palastinian Pain in the Poetry of Durwish” this study attempts to show the Pain that is in the harts of the citizen of that country and poet of Palastin “Darwish”. The Palestinian issue formed a major part in the Palestinian’s poetry topics which talk about the dimensions of the Palestinian issue and its events during the history inside the country and outside it. It also records its events, its peoples' suffering, their Diasporas in the camps and caves. The study gives a brief hint about the poet’s life who was a citizen of that country “Palastine” and it is his homeland and he lived through its difficult situation. It was full of sadness on Palestine and its people. The Poetic image is the mainstay used by the creator to reach the truth of the poetic experience and then to deliver it to the receiver, and It is employed by the poet when he wants to express his authentic and true feelings that is reflected in line with his psychological condition, It is also taken as a means to translate his feelings and attitudes with a particular artistic style.There were many poets who talked about the Palestinian issue and their suffering. This study focuses on the “The Simile Method for the Palastinians Pain in the Poetry of Durwish” in his collection of poems “Al-Ard” as an example.
