Abstract

This research delves into the valuable contributions of esteemed Tabieen (the generation following the companions of the Prophet Muhammad) during the era of the Banu Umayya dynasty. It investigates the pivotal role played by these revered figures in providing commentary, interpretation, and guidance on matters of religion and society. During the Banu Umayya period, the Tabieen served as key interpreters of Islamic teachings and traditions, offering insights into the Quran, Hadith (sayings of the Prophet), and jurisprudence. Through their scholarly endeavors, they helped to preserve and disseminate the knowledge inherited from the Prophet's companions, ensuring its relevance and applicability to contemporary challenges. This study aims to deepen our understanding of the role played by the Tabieen in disseminating religious knowledge and shaping Islamic thought during the Banu Umayya period.
