Abstract

This analytical study is based on the poetry of Faiz Muhammad Sakhani, a Sufi poet from Dera Ghazi Khan. As the subject matter suggests, Faiz was a versatile personality who had a great command of Urdu, Saraiki and Persian. The main component of Faiz's all-round poetry is Sufi poetry, in which true love has a fundamental position. Faiz has made love the subject of his speech in his words of Allah and His Messenger. The beginning of Faiz's poetry is not known exactly, but Faiz's poetry has been available since the 1980s. Most of the poetry is in Saraiki and Urdu. Unfortunately, most of Faiz's poetry is scattered. Which needs to be arranged and edited. This research paper explores and highlights the aspect of Sufism in Faiz's poetry.
