Abstract

This analytical study basically deals with the contribution of Allama Iqbal in the famous educational institution Anjman Himayat-ul-Islam which played a multi dimensional role in the uplift of the Muslim community particularly in Punjab. Iqbal is considered one of the remarkabal Muslim intellectuals and he contributed for the Muslims of India. He served for this instition not only but also worked for its well being after its formation in Lahore from 1899 to 1937. Iqbal worked for Anjman and Islamia college as its core member of the General Council of Anjman and College with Sir Muhammad Shafi and Sir Fazal Hussain. He also  served as professor  of English Language and Literature as well as Philosophy along with many administrative assignments. This paper explores and highlights the relation and contribution of Iqbal with Anjman Himayat-ul- Islam from 1899- 1937.
