Abstract

Nafaqa is a compound word used in Urdu language which means expenses, accommodation and food. Islam clearly defines the rights of brotherhood among Muslims, rights over each other's property, between rich and poor, between parents and children, between husband and wife, social, social and economic rights. In order for women to be relieved of social responsibilities, they have been declared the responsibility of men, for example, the upbringing of a minor girl is the responsibility of her parents, after marriage, a woman is the responsibility of her husband. In this sense, there are three reasons why women's maintenance is obligatory: The first reason is marriage. In the case of marriage, the obligation of alimony is conditioned on the woman's keeping or living with her husband, and in this case the husband will be responsible for the wife's bread and alimony, but if the woman does not live with her husband, then the marriage is void. It makes sense. The second reason is kinship and kinship matters, in which the responsibility of the children as children and protection of the lineage is obligatory on the parents, while the young children are obliged to serve their parents as a duty, and on the wealthy, other poor and Helping poor people and relatives as charity and charity is obligatory for social relations. The third reason is ownership. And this reason is extinct in today's modern age. The above three reasons show that the responsibility of women's livelihood is on her husband in marriage, on her parents from childhood to adulthood, the responsibility of destitute women is on their parents, relatives, community and the government. is on.In Islam, since the responsibility of the wife's maintenance is imposed on the man, it is necessary to fully manage the wife's maintenance before going away from home for Jihad, Tabligh or any religious or worldly affairs. And go after it.
