The contemporary need and historical significance of the Hijri calendar

No doubt, the calendars occupy very prominent status in man’s life. These can be based on their nature and needs. Different nations of the world have started their calendars with the most important event, accident, the death of an elderly esteemed person, an excellent deed of a national hero, flood, war or the beginning of a king's throne. In fact, the timing of events in the universe was an indispensable process; different calendars were set up in this regard. When the history spreads to the earliest times, the calendars summarize those times in a table. These include solar, lunar rotations and Hijri calendar along with their effects on human life. This article will highlight the beginning background, importance and effects of the Hijri calendar.
