Abstract

Feminism refers to women empowerment by removing gender inequality in our male dominant society. In Urdu literature feminism denotes women’s emancipation from stereo typed roles assigned to them. It tries to widen women’s role in our society by portraying women characters on a broader canvass. Feminism liberates women from those cultural barriers that treat them as a viable commodity. It appreciates women’s pivotal role in shaping our society. Its ultimate aim is to establish equal rights for women in every walk of life.
