It was the one of the speculative, investigatory and critical plan of Dr. M Iqbal to compile or write a book on " History of Sufism ". For, such type of meaningful topic, he himself collected the relevant material and wrote down two chapters as well as made some hints for the other chapters. But due to some certain reasons, he did not complete the quoted eminent work Later on, the said Notes, written by Allama M Iqbal , were obtained by Dr. Sabir Hussain Kalorvi and he compiled the book titled as " Tareekh e_Tasawuf". However, after some time, the scholar / Researcher approached to Iqbal Museum, Lahore, where the original manuscript of " Tareekh _e_Tasawuf" , written / compiled by Allama M Iqbal was available and the thorough study of it , revealed that the said "Tareekh _ e_Tasawuf " , compiled by Dr. Sabir Hussain Kalorvi had some parts/paragraphs out of the original manuscript were left by him , either intentionally or unintentionally. Therefore, it was indispensable to take an analytical and comparative study of Iqbal's original work (manuscript) of “Tareekh_e Tasawuf” and the same book compiled by the Dr. Sabir Hussain Kalorvi. Hence, this research article has been written to make an analytical and comparative study of the above mentioned manuscript and the compiled book of "Tareekh_e_ Tasawuf", to indicate and analyse the difference in between the both written material.

This text is included in the notice of Allama's original draft "Tarikh-e-Tasawwuf", but the compilation ignored it. The compilation may have deliberately abandoned it but is not acceptable in Istadwin. Here it is very important to distinguish between knowledge and knowledge, and the main reason for this is to avoid ambiguity and meet the requirements of research and editing. However, in both cases of knowledge and knowledge, it was intended to identify non-Islamic elements in Islamic Sufism. And Allama Iqbal also brought it in the qurtas writing for the same reason.
