Abstract

This is an analytical study of the about the poetry of Josh Maleeh Abadi. Josh Mali eeh Abadi is considered one of the important of Urdu language. Josh passed his  MA from Aligarh in 1912. He started his poetry at the age of nine. Became a disciple of Aziz Lucknowi. After the death of his father, he faced both financial and economic difficulties. He was wandering in search of livelihood and finally in 1924 he became associated with Dar al-Tarjama. Apart from this, he also published the magazine Kalim. After that he worked as the editor of Aajkal. He was also associated with the film world for some time but could not hold any position completely. In 1955, he went to a Mushaira in Pakistan and stayed there, but he could not get the peace that he got in his homeland and he is suffering from a mental agony till the end. His poetry provides a sense of love with the country. He is the important poet who tried to highlight the factors and element of patriotism in his poetry. This paper is an effort to hightlight and explore the elements of patriotic passion in his poetry.
