The process of compiling and collecting poetry, that started during the Umayyad period and reached its climax in the Abbasid era , was a remarkable effort in Arabic literature. It depicts and portrays the true picture of Arabs and Muslims in the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods. These collections are the history of Muslim Nation. The name of Diwan on Poetry was unknown during the first three centuries, but is spread in the fourth century AH. In this period, many Diwans and poetry collections were compiled and prepared.
