Surah Al-Hujurat is one of the comprehensive chapters of the Holy Qur’an, in which the moral and social principles of an Islamic society are presented. It clearly explains important themes such as mutual respect, verification of information, reconciliation of disputes, human equality, and brotherhood based on faith. Its teachings provide guidance not only for the moral development of individuals but also for the improvement of social and collective life. In the contemporary era, means of communication, particularly social media, have given unprecedented speed to the dissemination of information. A piece of news can reach millions of people within a few moments. However, along with this speed, rumors, false accusations, character assassination, suspicion, mockery, and social disorder can also spread rapidly. Verses 6 to 13 of Surah Al-Hujurat provide an ethical and social framework for addressing this situation, in which the verification of information, protection of human dignity, reconciliation of disputes, mutual brotherhood, and God-consciousness (Taqwa) are given fundamental importance. This article, through a tafsir-based and analytical study of the relevant verses of Surah Al-Hujurat, seeks to demonstrate that Qur’anic guidance provides effective direction for addressing the communication, moral, and social challenges of modern society. The study reveals that the ideal Islamic society is founded upon interconnected principles such as obedience, verification, justice, respect, brotherhood, and God-consciousness (Taqwa).
