Abstract

Dr. Saleem Akhtar has been a multi-faceted personality of Urdu literature who has made significant contributions in the field of creation of Urdu language and literature. He has served the Urdu Literature in various fields as a critic, correspondent, sketcher, translator, satirist and short story writer, as well as a writer on general psychology. He not only solved centuries-old literary issues in his shortest history book, but also presented a new way to the readers of literature. He presented new ideas in Criticism and create a lot of books in this regard. He also strengthened the field of Iqbaliyat in all over the world. Due to the literary services of Dr. Saleem Akhtar, a permanent tradition of knowledge of Saleem Akhtar has come into existence in which the role of literary magazines is very important. Various Urdu literary journals set up special sections and published articles by eminent critics through which Saleem Akhtar Shinasi was greatly strengthened
