Bektashi Sufi Order and its Teachings: A cricical Study

Abstract

Man is mixture of body and soul. And the two are inspearable.Just as the body suffers from various ailments so,is the humain soul.Spirit sickness results in Godly distance.People go to the  doctor for better physical therapy.Similarly the soul needs healing.The healing of the soul is called sufiism while his doctor is called  murshid . Muslims have four levels of sufiism ie Naqshbandi,Qadri,Chishti and Suherwardi.Sufiism has different names in different societies. However the treatment is also in different societes.Bektashi order is one of them in these series. The Bektashi order of sufiism is a significant part of Turkey’s military service. The Tekkes of this sufi order played an important role in spreading this order .Bektashi poetry is also of fundamental importance in the development of the Bektashi order. The article introduces the Bektashi Order , its techings,its military role and the importance of Bektashi Tekkes. Also what is the current status of this chain of sufiism and to what extent does this chain of sufiism resemble the famous chain of sufiism in the world
